Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 June 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Tabularium (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the app. We have designed Tabularium to keep your photos on your device. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable French law.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Hugo Martin, independent developer of Tabularium, located in France. For any privacy request, contact us at contact@hmartin.dev .

The short version

  • Your photos never leave your device. Tabularium reads your photo library only to display photos for sorting and to delete the ones you choose. We do not upload, copy, or transmit your photos or their content.
  • We show ads through Google AdMob, which may process advertising identifiers.
  • We ask for your consent before any advertising tracking, and you can change your mind at any time.

What we process and why

Photos and your photo library

With your permission (iOS Photos access), the app reads photos so you can review and delete them. Deletions go to your device’s Recently Deleted album, where iOS keeps them temporarily so you can recover them. Photo processing occurs entirely on your device: no photo content, metadata, thumbnails, or deletion history is transmitted to us or stored on our servers.

Advertising data (Google AdMob)

The free version of Tabularium displays ads served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may process device and advertising identifiers (such as the Identifier for Advertisers, IDFA), approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad-interaction data. In App Store terms, Google AdMob may collect identifiers, usage data, diagnostics , and advertising-related information, consistent with the privacy information we declare on the App Store. The data Google collects is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy . See also how Google uses information from AdMob .

Subscription and purchases (Apple)

The optional “Unlimited” subscription removes ads and daily limits. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Through Apple’s on-device StoreKit, we receive the information necessary to determine whether your subscription is active and to unlock premium features. We do not receive your payment card or banking information.

Launch waitlist (this website)

If you submit your email address in the “Get notified” form on this website, we add it to a contact list so we can email you once when Tabularium launches, plus the occasional related update. We collect only your email address, and only with your explicit consent (the checkbox on the form). This is separate from the app: it concerns the website, not your photos.

The list is managed by Brevo (Sendinblue SA), our email service provider, which stores the data on servers in the European Union under a data-processing agreement. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us at contact@hmartin.dev . We keep your email only until launch and a short follow-up period, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first.

Tracking and your consent

Personalized advertising relies on tracking, which requires your consent. We request it in two complementary ways:

  • App Tracking Transparency (Apple): iOS asks whether the app may track you across apps and websites.
  • Consent management (Google): if you are in the EU, UK, or Switzerland, a consent screen lets you accept or refuse personalized ads, in line with GDPR.

If you refuse, you will still see ads, but they will be non-personalized. You can change your advertising choices at any time in your device settings.

Legal bases

  • Consent — for personalized advertising and any advertising-related tracking where required by law, and for adding you to the launch waitlist if you submit your email on this website.
  • Performance of a contract — to provide the app’s features and your subscription.
  • Legitimate interests — to maintain the security, integrity, and functionality of the app.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. Data may be processed by the service providers that make the app work: Google (AdMob, advertising), Apple (App Store, subscriptions, app analytics you may have enabled at the system level), and Brevo (Sendinblue SA — managing the launch-waitlist email list described above, EU-hosted under a data-processing agreement). These providers act under their own privacy terms.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, they rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

Data retention

We do not operate our own servers for your personal data. Advertising and purchase data are retained by Google and Apple according to their respective policies. Your in-app settings are stored locally on your device and removed when you delete the app.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • access, rectify, or erase your personal data;
  • restrict or object to its processing;
  • data portability;
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in France, the CNIL .

To exercise these rights, email us at contact@hmartin.dev . We will respond to privacy requests within the timeframes required by applicable data protection laws.

Children

Tabularium is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
